Acceptable Use Policy

Rules and restrictions for using QuebecPanels services responsibly and securely.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines prohibited activities and usage restrictions to ensure the stability, security, and integrity of QuebecPanels infrastructure and services.

2. Illegal Activities

Customers may not use our services for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Hosting illegal content
  • Copyright infringement
  • Fraud or identity theft
  • Distribution of stolen data

3. Security Violations

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Unauthorized access attempts
  • Port scanning or network probing
  • Malware distribution
  • Bypassing security controls

4. Abuse & Attacks

Customers may not use our services to launch or participate in:

  • DDoS attacks
  • Brute‑force attempts
  • Botnet operations
  • Traffic flooding or spoofing

5. Resource Misuse

Excessive or abusive resource consumption that impacts other customers is prohibited, including:

  • Uncapped CPU or network usage
  • Running unauthorized stress tests
  • Hosting public proxies or VPNs

6. Harmful Content

Hosting or distributing harmful, abusive, or dangerous content is not allowed, including:

  • Harassment or hate speech
  • Extremist or violent material
  • Phishing pages
  • Deceptive or malicious websites

7. Email & Messaging Abuse

The following activities are prohibited:

  • Sending spam or unsolicited messages
  • Email harvesting
  • Running bulk mailers without permission

8. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in warnings, service suspension, or termination. Severe violations may be escalated to legal authorities.
